Angkor Empire Full and Half Marathon

On August 17th, 2014 at Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia!

The First Angkor Empire Marathon and Half Marathon will be held on one of famous heritage in the world which is designed a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1992. Event will be held at the Angkor Wat area in the most famous Angkor Wat ruins.
Angkor Archaeological Park located in northern Cambodia, is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia.
Stretching over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor contains the magnificent remains of several capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century CE. These include the famous temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon temple with its countless sculptural decorations.

The 9th Annual Angkor Wat Bike4Kids!


On December 6th, 2014 at Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia!
Village Focus International & Terre Des Hommes are proud to host the 9th Annual Angkor Wat Bike4Kids! The Bike4Kids! is a fun bicycle ride and race of 17, 30, or 100 km (your choice!) open to all ages, around the Angkor Wat temple complex in Siem Reap! All you have to do is sign up, and then fundraise for our cause partners, four charities in Cambodia working to protect children and end human trafficking. You can even rent your bike from our partners at Travel Loops and they’ll deliver it to you at the starting line on December 6th! It’s fun, cultural, and a great charitable cause! Ready to sign up? The 18th Angkor Wat International Half Marathon

 

 

On December 7th, 2014 at Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia!

This internationally recognized half marathon raises relief for the victims of antipersonnel mines in Cambodia. With the support of many Japanese running enthusiasts, the Ankor Wat International Half Marathon NGO started the race in 1996, with participants from all over the world. Attended by many landmine victims, this great international race takes place inside the ruins of Angkor Wat, a World Heritage Site, and has been held annually to give the victims courage and hope, as well as to appeal to the world to support the “ban on the use of antipersonnel mines.”
