Day 01: Siem Reap Arrival When you arrive in Siem Reap you will be met by our tour guide and then transfer to hotel for check-in. Free time after check-in. Overnight in town
Day 02: Explore Angkor (B/L) After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of the magnificent temples at Angkor: Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, and the jungle temple of Ta Prohm. We then continue to Victory gate, the Terrace of Elephants and the Leper King, as well as Bayon and the South gate. Bayon temple consists of 54 towers decorated with over 200 faces of Buddha, and was built during the great dynasty of Jayavaraman VII (1181 - 1220). Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant opposite Angkor Wat. In the afternoon we visit the gigantic temple of Angkor Wat and watch the sunset from the hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in town
Day 03: Angkor (B) Today you have the option to get up early to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! After breakfast we drive to the Tonle Sap Lake to see a lifestyle of some 800 years ago at the fresh water mangrove of Kampong Phhluk village. In the afternoon, we take a drive out to the countryside through small villages to see the Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre Temples. Banteay Srei which means “Citadel of Women” is built of pink sandstone and decorated with the unique deep carvings. Then we enjoy watching the sunset at Pre Rup Temple. Overnight in town
Day 04: Homestay (B/L/D) In the morning we drive to the Homestay village about 20km from Siem Reap driving past green rice fields and small villages . When you arrive, our guide will introduce you to the host family, and you can have a look around in the village. There is a welcome lunch in the afternoon with the family. Then ride in an oxcart to the fields to experience your first day of work. After returning back at the homestay, you can wash by taking a shower Cambodian-style. Then around 6.30pm have dinner together with the host family. At night you can chat with the family and/or teach English to the kids. In the evening a lot of neighbors will come to talk to you or your host family after they finish their days work. Overnight with homestay family
Day 05: Farm Activity (B/L/D) Breakfast comes early in the morning, and then its off to the fields again by oxcart for a full day of work planting or harvesting rice or vegetables. You may also be looking after the cattle, ducks, chickens or pigs. . At night after dinner you can go to visit the neighbors, or teach English, or have a party with local rice wine. Overnight with homestay family
Day 06: Return to Siem Reap (B/L) After a hearty breakfast, say goodbye to your host family, and then on the way back to Siem Reap we visit Wat Prasat, the Angkor Silk Farm, and have a swim in the West Baray where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon we arrive back in Siem Reap, and check back in to the hotel. Overnight in town
Day 07: Siem Reap Departure (B)
Breakfast at the hotel, and then free time for your own activity until transfer to your departure point. This tour is private and can be tailor-made to suit your travel needs. As a result the price is quoted in US dollars and shown on a per-person basis. The ‘Price From’ quoted is for a party of one couple and for accommodation as stated in the list of the hotels. The final price will be privately quoted, the amendment, your preferred time of travel, grade of hotel and any additional services requested.
