What are Cambodia Pedals and Feet?
This is a unique experience to visit Cambodia on bicycle from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and to Chi Phat is an authentic village in the skirts of the Cardamom Mountain. After visited the ruins and temples at Angkor, you will spend two nights stay at the holy land on the top of Phnom Kulen mountain and staying near the ruin of Beng Mealea temple. It’s a wonderful time that you could imagine, how was last thousand years ago at the night in Angkor. You can trek or mountain bike to explore the village or the deep forest in Chi Phat. Early starters can bird-watch from a traditional rowing boat on the misty river. Search for wildlife signs at dawn, noon and dusk at seasonal waterholes. Halloween fans can venture into bat caves and ancient burial sites. Or patrol with the forest rangers, going far off the beaten track as only our most intrepid trekkers do.

  • Trip Grade:

Easy - Suitable for travellers with an average level of fitness and independent mobility
Moderate - while trekking at Cadamam Mountain.

  • Trip Tips:

Explore the countryside of Siem Reap on your own quad bike, by far the best way to see the real village life. We will end the day watching the stunning sunset over the paddy fields where cattle and oxen graze lazily.

  • Best Travel Time:

There are two seasons in Cambodia, wet and dry. From early May to the end of October is the rainy season. It often rains heavily but for short periods of time, mostly later in the day or during the night, after which the sun returns. The rain cools the air and freshens up the lush green of the rice plantations. It is cooler in the dry season, which runs from early November to early February, when it starts heating up again, building to the hottest month of April. So the best time for rain lovers is between May and October and from November to early March for those who like it dry and cool.

Day 01: Siem Reap - Arrival (Cycling 14 Km)

On arrival your local English speaking guide will meet and greeting you then transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the main Angkor Wat Temple is a largest religious site in the world. There are not really enough words to describe this jewel in the crown of Angkor. You have to witness it for yourself. The scale of the complex is certain to be above expectations, covering an area of 2 km2, but you can easily see the majority of the places of interest in a morning, especially if you decide to start early enough to see the sunrise. Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it faces west instead of the usual requirement to face east. Built between 1113 and 1150, it eventually changed to a Buddhist Wat (temple) in the 13th century after a religious revolution in Cambodia. You will have plenty of time to explore most of the complex; you will be amazed at the intricate carvings and bas-reliefs, the long terraces, the many different pavilions and galleries.

Tonight you are invited to a welcome dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance.
