Starting in Luang Prabang and finishing in Vientiane, on this trip you will see the key sights in these 2 cities. In Luang Prabang we will take you to the Pak Ou caves and their myriad of Buddha images, and the spectacular Kuangsi waterfalls. Next stop is the capital city of Vientiane where we will get round the main temples and pagodas.

Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Luang Prabang – arrival (half day tour)

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou caves                                          

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi waterfall – Vientiane              

Day 4: Vientiane - City Tour – Departure                                      

Day 1: Luang Prabang – arrival (half day tour)
You transfer you from the airport to your hotel to check in, after which you will have one hour and a half for lunch before continuing with a visit to Wat Xienthong, said to be the most beautiful temple in town, built in the 16^th century; later you stop at Wat Visoun and the Melon stupa, then next door to see Wat Aham. Finally you climb up to Mount Phousi to see the sunset and on the way back you will visit the night market.

Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou caves
After breakfast you embark on a boat trip to visit the Pak Ou caves, some 32 km upriver, along the way stopping to visit a whisky village to see the process used by the villagers to produce Lau Lao, the local rice whisky. After this you carry on to the caves, after which you have a 1-hour break for lunch at a local restaurant; then its back by boat downstream, back to Luang Prabang. You finish the day with a 12 km car journey to Ban Xangkhong, a weaving and papermaking village, after which we transfer you back to the hotel

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi waterfall – Vientiane
After breakfast you start the day by minivan to the spectacular Kuangsi waterfall, located some 29 km from the town. On the way you make a stop at a Hmong minority village, stopping for photographs and a look at the beautiful scenery along the road. On arrival at the waterfall you can swim in the cool waters and have a picnic lunch before heading back to Luang Prabang for our transfer to the airport to catch our flight to Vientiane. On arrival at this new capital city you transfer you to your hotel. Over night in Vientiane.

Day 4: Vientiane - City Tour – Departure
After an early breakfast you visit the most important temples in the city, including Vat Sisaket, Vat Phrakeo, Vat Thadluang and Patu Xay  (Victory Monument), followed by a visit to the morning market. In the afternoon you transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
