Cycling in Laos is a little angel in Indochina. Travelloops will bring you obtain the unique experience with fun through Laos. Your experienced English tour guide will explore with you on the bicycling from Luang Prabang to Vientiane will see charming country side with mountain, waterfall, friendly people and caves. Enjoy swimming at Kuang Si Waterfalls in a blue pools as well as visit Tad Sae Waterfall and Elephant Camp. Along the way to Vientiane you will cycle through a little town Kiu Kacham and the valley of Muang Kasi. Stay a night at a popular backpacker’s town Van Vieng then continues to explore the artificial Nam Ngum Lake, you will complete your cycling holiday via discovering Vientiane.

Day 1: Arriving Luang Prabang - Orientation ride (Cycling: 3KM)
Welcome to Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage town!
Upon arriving at the airport you will be met and greeting by your local English speaking tour guide transfer to check in at the hotel .Then spending your short time to eye this lovely little angel with an orientation by cycling through.

Known as an ancient capital of Laos, located at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers about 300 Km north of the capital city of Vientiane with a small population about 50,000. Since Luang Prabang was declared a United Nations Educational, Science, and Culture Organization (Unesco) World Heritage Site in 1995, the city has become one of the attractive site in Indochina. You'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture.
Tonight will be a welcome dinner of Laos Cuisine.

Day 2: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfalls (Cycling: 60KM)
Smiling morning with a prepared breakfast in the hotel waiting for you then begins to cycle through a scenic of mountain, rice fields to Kuang Si waterfall and visit the ethnic villages such as Hmong and Khmu along the way. Kuang Si Falls, is a three tier waterfall about 30 Km south of Luang Prabang.

These waterfalls are a favorite of everyone. The falls begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with about 60 meters cascade. The falls are accessed via a trails, water collects in numerous turquoise blue pools as it flows downstream (You are advised to bring the swimming suits). The minority group of Hmong and Khmu are the largest population in Laos. Later afternoon cycle back to town then freshen up before heading out to have dinner at the local restaurant

Day 3: Cycling – Tad Sae Waterfall and Elephant Camp (Cycling: 50KM)
Another day begins with having breakfast at your hotel. Start for cycling to visit Royal Palace and others nearby Wats: Wat Visoun, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai and then cycling to one of the Tad Sae waterfall and visit the Elephant camp. The Royal Palace was built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family. After the King Sisavang Vong passed away, the Crown Prince Savang Vatthana and his family were the last to occupy the grounds. In 1975, the monarchy was overthrown by the communists and the Royal Family were taken to re-education camps. The palace was then converted into a national museum. Wat Visoun (Wisunalat) was built in 1513, is the oldest and the most beautiful temple of Luang Prabang. Wat Xieng Thong, "monastery of the golden city", is the religious emblem of Luang Prabang and one of the highest symbols of Buddhism in Laos which believed it was spared from the plunder of 1887. Tad Sae waterfall is smaller than Kuang Si waterfall but this couple of years, Tad Sae became a little "Elephant Center" where you can meet and see elephants. You are welcome enjoy swimming and later-noon will cycling back to Luang Prabang with different track.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Kiu Kacham - Muang Kasi (Cycling: 95KM) 
After having the breakfast at hotel, need to settle up the hotel’s bills and checking out for departure transfer about a 2 hours to Kiu Kacham on an altitude of 1350 meters. The first part you will cycle to Ban Phoukhoun and visiting the friendly local people with a rest stop, along the way from Ban Phoukhoun will see a great views, brings you to the green valley of Kasi. Kasi or Muang Kasi is a little river town in Vientiane where you will see a lot of cows on the road and it’s very serene and peaceful.

Day 5: Muang Kasi – Vang Vieng (Cyclign: 58KM)
Enjoy the breakfast and view the lovely scenery in Kasi, today you’re biking to Vang Vieng through amazing scenery and will go slowly into the lowland along rivers, limestone formations and caves.

Vang Vieng is a town lies on the Nam Song River and the most notable feature of the area is the karst hill landscape surrounding the town. This town was first settled around 1353 AD as a staging post between Luang Prabang and Vientiane. Town was called Mouang Song after the body of the deceased King Phra Nha Phao of Phai Naam was seen floating down the river, the town was renamed Vang Vieng during French colonial era in the 1890s. Vang Vieng has grown substantially due to the influx of backpackers attraction.

Day 6: Vang Vieng – Nam Ngum Lake (Cycling: 55KM)
Continuing on the main road after taking a great breakfast at your hotel on the bank of Nam Song River, you get back on your cycle for heading to the sea of Laos: the 250 square kilometer Nam Ngum Lake, a vast, man-made reservoir located in a beautiful green valley. Enjoy with a two hours boat ride to see the beautiful scenery over the river and its green valley is enhanced by the presence of this vast, spectacular lake. River basin is home to about 1 million people in Laos, currently is a largest dam on Nam Ngum. After lunch, you continue on a quiet back road through hidden small valleys and authentic villages and following by check in to your hotel on the river bank.

Day 7: Nam Ngum - Vientiane (Cycling: 65 km)
Today is your last cycling days, after having the breakfast at your hotel then get back on the cycle for biking through the amazing sightseeing of Phou Khao Khouay or Buffalo Horn Mountain, is an intriguing and breathtaking nature reserve in Laos and close to Vientiane, easily to access. It’s a 2000 km² national park while cycling you always feel fresh and clean with the beautiful waterfalls amidst lush green vegetation.

Enter to the capital city of Laos, Vientiane. This is a largest city of Laos, standing on the banks of the Mekong River near the border with Thailand. Vientiane became the capital in 1563 due to fears of a Burmese invasion. Vientiane was the administrative capital during French rule and, due to economic growth in recent times, is now the economic Centre of Laos.

Day 8: Vientiane – City Tour – Departure
No more cycling today, after having the breakfast at your hotel, services is ready with the local English speaking tour guide will take you to visit: That Luang, or The Great Stupa, is the most sacred monument in the whole of Laos, and certainly one of the country’s most beautiful. Dating back to the 16th century, this giant golden temple complex looks more like a fortress than a place of worship with its set of turrets surrounding a central Stupa. Patuxai Victory Monument is one of the most distinctive landmarks amongst the modest Vientiane skyline. The famous Wat Ho Phra Keo is a stunning Buddhist temple near the centre of Vientiane that dates back to 1565. The striking appearance, however, is not the only reason for its well-documented fame throughout this part of Asia. Wat Ho Phra Keo once housed the Emerald Buddha after it was snatched from northern Thailand (then Siam) by the Laotian king. The sacred jade statue was then reclaimed by the Thai army in 1778 and now takes pride of place in Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok and complete the exploration via visiting Wat Si Saket is known as the only temple in Laos which survived the Siamese occupation that destroyed much of the capital in 1828. The site is also famed for its cloister wall housing more than 5,000 Buddha sculptures of varying sizes and styles, reflecting the long on fascinating history of this temple.
