Cycling in Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage town, Laos. Do not have much time to see Laos, just 4 days? Travelloops will share you the unique experience with fun. Enjoy swimming at Kuang Si Waterfalls in a blue pools as well as visit Tad Sae Waterfall and Elephant Camp. Explore Pak Ou Caves on Mekong River and visit the minority village getting to know the different culture and life.

Day 1: Arriving Luang Prabang - Orientation ride (Cycling: 5KM)
Welcome to Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage town!
Upon arriving at the Luang Prabang International Arport you will be met and greeting by your local English speaking tour guide transfer to check in at the hotel (early check in depend on the availability) then spending the rest of your time to eye this lovely little angel with an orientation by cycling through out. Luang Prabang is known as an ancient capital of Laos, located at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong Rivers, about 300 Km north of the capital city of Vientiane with a small population about 50,000. Since Luang Prabang was declared a United Nations Educational, Science, and Culture Organization (Unesco) World Heritage Site in 1995, the city has become one of the attractive site in Indochina. You'll see everything from golden-roofed temples to vestiges of colonial French architecture.
Tonight will be pleased and enjoy a welcome dinner of Laos cuisine.

Day 2: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfalls (Cycling: 60KM)
Smiling morning with a prepared breakfast in the hotel waiting for you then begins to cycle through a scenic of mountain, rice fields to Kuang Si waterfall and visit the ethnic villages such as Hmong and Khmu along the way. Kuang Si Falls, is a three tier waterfall about 30 Km south of Luang Prabang.

These waterfalls are a favorite of everyone. The falls begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with about 60 meters cascade. The falls are accessed via a trails, water collects in numerous turquoise blue pools as it flows downstream (You are advised to bring the swimming suits). The minority group of Hmong and Khmu are the largest population in Laos. Later afternoon cycle back to town then freshen up before heading out to have dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 3: 20 Oct - Cycling – Tad Sae Waterfall and Elephant Camp (Cycling: 50KM)
Another day begins with having breakfast at your hotel. Start your cycling trip to visit Royal Palace and others nearby places: Wat Visoun, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai and then cycling to Tad Sae waterfall and visit the Elephant camp. The Royal Palace was built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family. After the King Sisavang Vong passed away, the Crown Prince Savang Vatthana and his family were the last to occupy the grounds. In 1975, the monarchy was overthrown by the communists and the Royal Family were taken to re-education camps. The palace was then converted into a national museum. Wat Visoun (Wisunalat) was built in 1513, is the oldest and the most beautiful temple of Luang Prabang. Wat Xieng Thong, "monastery of the golden city", is the religious emblem of Luang Prabang and one of the highest symbols of Buddhism in Laos which believed it was spared from the plunder of 1887. Tad Sae waterfall is smaller than Kuang Si waterfall but this couple of years, Tad Sae became a little "elephant center" where you can meet and see elephants. You are welcome enjoy swimming and later-noon will cycling back to Luang Prabang with different track.

Day 4: Depart Luang Prabang
No more cycling today, after having the breakfast at your hotel, you will travel on the long tail wooden boat up stream along Mekong River to visit Pak Ou Caves, is one of the most respected holy sites. Pak Ou Caves have a history dating back thousands of years. Packed with over 4,000 Buddha icons, the caves, a shrine to the river spirit and Lord Buddha, are set in a dramatic limestone cliff at the point where the Mekong joins the Nam Ou River. There are two caves to visit, the lower cave called Tham Ting and the upper cave Tham Theung, both boasting miniature Buddhist figures that are mostly made from wood.

Transfer back to town by a private vehicle along the bank of Mekong River and following by checking out from hotel. Then transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (Check out time at 12:00 Mid-day)
