 Weather and Climate of Myanmar


With Myanmar’s moderate climate without the extremes, tourists find it pleasant to visit Myanmar all year round, has three distinctive seasons:


Cool season (November through February with average temperature 20-24. C) The cool season in Myanmar is a very pleasant time for travel and outdoor activities. It starts from November and ends in February

 

Warm season (March through May with average temperature 30-40.C): with highest temperature during March and April in Central Myanmar, up to 110 ° F (43.3 ° C) while in Northern Myanmar, around 97 ° F (36.1 ° C), and between 85 ° F (29.4 ° C) and 95 ° F (35 ° C) on the Shan Plateau

 

Rainy season (May through October with average temperature 25-30.C): Annual rainfall ranges from a low of less than 10 inches in Central Myanmar to 200 inches in the coastal regions of Rakhine and Tanintharyi. Yangon normally receives early morning and afternoon showers, while Bagan and Mandalay sees very little rainfall.  


The weather around Inlay Lake and Shan State is quite pleasant year round, but slightly chilly at night from December to February.
