Best Travel Time:

There are two seasons in Cambodia, wet and dry. From early May to the end of October is the rainy season. It often rains heavily but for short periods of time, mostly later in the day or during the night, after which the sun returns. The rain cools the air and freshens up the lush green of the rice plantations. It is cooler in the dry season, which runs from early November to early February, when it starts heating up again, building to the hottest month of April. So the best time for rain lovers is between May and October and from November to early March for those who like it dry and cool.

Trip Tips:
When visiting the temples, be sure to wear sturdy, comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking as well as sometimes climbing steep stairs.

Recommendation: HRelax and completely unwind - experience a Khmer Traditional Massage at Bodia Spa and Night Markets open after 06:00PM where you can also do some gift shopping.

DAY 01: Arrival - Siem Reap
Upon arrival you will be met by our tour guide and the tour starts straight away. This afternoon we will set off on an exploration of Angkor Wat, the architectural and artistic masterpiece of the mighty Khmer Empire. Sunset at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup paints the temple in an golden-orange hue.

At dinner we will be accompanied by classical Apsara dancers depicting scenes from Khmer mythology.

DAY 02: Siem Reap - Angkor
You have the option of an early rise to view the spectacular sunrise over Angkor Wat revealing its timeless beauty, harmony and grandeur.


Return to the hotel for breakfast before continuing your exploration of the temples. Enter Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer empire through the Southern Gate where giant carvings of gods and demons flank each side of the entrance. Inside this great city, explore the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. Feel the serenity that exudes from the stone face carvings of the Bayon and temple walls covered in emerald-green moss intertwined with roots which many deem the most charming of all, Ta Prohm.

In the afternoon, we will visit Angkor Silk Farm and Artisan D’ Angkor and its handicraft training school for young people. It was founded by Chantier-Ecoles, in cooperation with Provincial Office of Education, Youth and Sport. We will then visit Western Baray, the  man-made lake from 11th century - the main reservoir for irrigation water and nowadays is a well-known site for family picnics. We then continue to the Old Market for some shopping.

DAY 03: Siem Reap - Cooking Class
After breakfast we head for our cooking class. We experience a hands-on Cambodian Cooking Class at Ecole D’Hotel Et Tourisme Paul Debrule. We will learn to make Cambodian dishes with one of the head chefs and then enjoy your creation following the class as you will eat what you made for lunch.

Later that afternoon we will visit Kompong Phluk Floating Village of Tonle Sap Lake; we take a boat ride to the village of Kompong Phhluk on stilts and explore this great ecosystem in canoes (in the wet season) listening to the calls of the macaque monkeys while observing the forest beneath the lake’s surface. We finish our amazing day by watching the sunset from the treetop restaurant.

DAY 04: Siem Reap - Angkor
After breakfast, we enjoy a drive through the beautiful Cambodian countryside to visit Bantaey Srei and Bantaey Samre; many consider Bantaey Srei to be the prettiest temple.

In the afternoon will explore the countryside on quad bikes for around a hour or two. You will be driving by yourself, following the local guide passing villages, temples, palm trees, paddy fields as well as the cattle or chickens. We take time out to spend some time with the monks to receive holy water.

DAY 05: Siem Reap - Departure
After breakfast you will be free at your leisure till your departure transfer.

 TOUR INCLUDES:

When the meals are not included in the program, our guides will be more than happy to recommend one from our list of approved restaurants. While not always possible, we endeavor to ensure that a choice of western and Asian breakfasts are available; however, there may be occasions when only an Asian-style breakfast is available in some of the more remote locations.

3.Private Transfers & Airport Pick-up and drop-off.
Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing by private air-conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as mentioned in the itinerary).

4. Professional Tour Guide.
As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city and will remain with you throughout your stay in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available.

5. Accommodation.
Hotel costs are based on double occupancy of one twin room. All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily Western or Asian breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless otherwise specified.

Expenses of a purely personal nature such as Tips and gratuities, laundry, drinks, fax, telephone calls, optional activities, sightseeing or meals that are not included in the tour itinerary.
