Phousi Hotel

View Phousi Hotel in a larger map

Phousi Guesthouse features the combination of the modernity and tradition of Lao wooden architecture. Located on the opposite side of the National Museum (Former Royal Palace) and of course in the hub of Luangprabang city, the guesthouse is within a short walking distance from Phousi Hill, Mekong River, and nearby temples as well as the city’s restaurants, banks, travel agencies, and business and entertainment venues

It is also a great spot for seeing Buddhist monks collecting alms every morning at 6: 30. Just get your cameras ready for that breathe-taking moment! A very long saffron line of Buddhist monks is nowhere to be seen but here in Luang Prabang it is the perfect place to observe this religious event is on the street in front of our guesthouse.

Finally it is just a two-minute stroll away from the night market where all local Luang Prabang citizens’ handmade products are beautifully assembled for travelers to purchase as souvenirs. The night market begins from 4:00 – 10:00 pm every day. Moreover, the guesthouse has a nice balcony facing the National Museum; and from the balcony, the travelers will be able to take a picture of the wonderful scenery of Phousi Hill and the sunset over the Mekong River.
