Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Yangon – Mandalay Tour Day 2: Sail to Sagaing Day 3: Bagan Day 4: Departure - Bagan Day 1: Arrive Yangon – Mandalay Tour [-/L/D] A morning flight will take you to Mandalay from the former capital Yangon. When you arrive, we will board the Road to Mandalay cruise ship on the great Irrawaddy River at Shwe Kyet Yet. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the sight of Mandalay from this deluxe ship. In the evening, you return to the boat for a welcome dinner and enjoy the services on board. Stay overnight on Road to Mandalay.
Day 2: Sail to Sagaing [B/L/D]
Today you will need to get up early to enjoy the sounds of everyday life on the Irrawaddy River before breakfast. Then you sail to Sagaing, which is considered to be the centre of the Buddhist faith in Myanmar and also well known for its traditional silversmiths. You spend the whole morning on land at Sagaing, free to take photos and experience the life of the locals. The rest of the day we will relax on board, observe the life along the river with beautiful dolphins and villages while our guide gives a talk on the top deck. Enjoy a cocktail or Australian wine at a pre-dinner party on board.
Day 3: Bagan [B/L/D]
In the morning, you will arrive in Bagan, which is regarded as the plain of Buddhist monuments with more than 2,000 religious structures. Take your first photos of the entire, spectacular view from the top of a temple or pagoda before looking closer at some prominent sites. Spend your whole morning with our guide and explore this amazing place with its numerous temples and pagodas while lunch is served on board. After lunch, you continue with a visit to some of the most famous sites in Bagan or you can hire a bicycle or even a horse and cart for a very unique and unusual private journey. In the late afternoon, you can enjoy a view of the sunset from Bagan, probably one of the most memorable sights you can take back in your photo collection. Dinner and stay overnight on board.
Day 4: Departure - Bagan [B/-/-]
After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.
